The building at Miera Street 5 was built in 1912 in  a rationalist Art Nouveau style by the design of architect Aleksandrs Šmerlings. The 6-story high building is located on the corner of Miera and Maiznīcas Streets and consists of 29 apartments from the ground floor to the top 6th floor as well as commercial premises on the ground floor.

The building has been freshly renovated in 2020. During the renovation process, the facade of the building has been completely restored from both the street and the yard side. Both staircases of the building have been renovated with light and modern colour design, yet preserving the historical aura, and have renovated elevators as well. The yard has been landscaped and planted with greenery as well as equipped with a children playground. 

The apartments are sold in their current condition, without repair, retaining authentic elements such as woodenfloors, old wooden doors and ceiling rosettes. Ceiling height in all apartments is 3.10 m.

It is possible to acquire a storage space in the basement for extra fee.
